Tulare County COVID-19 Death Toll Rises to 11

A person more than 65 years old died Thursday in Tulare County, raising the county’s coronavirus death count to 11 people.

No other details would be released to the public, officials said, because of privacy laws.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the friends and family who lost their loved one due to COVID-19,” said Dr. Karen Haught, Tulare County public health officer. “Social distancing is the most important tool community members can use to avoid getting or giving COVID-19.”

Tulare County Coronavirus Guidelines

In a news release issued Friday, officials reminded the public of the county’s COVID-19 guidelines. They are:

  • Stay at home;
  • Go out only for essential items such as groceries and medical needs/prescriptions;
  • Limit outings to no more than two individuals;
  • Wash your hands and disinfect surfaces frequently.
